We are delighted to announce the promotion of two key members of staff, Michelle Newby and Edward Rodrigues.
Michelle Newby, who this year will be celebrating her 20 year anniversary of working at Ashdown Park Hotel, has been promoted from Senior Assistant Manager to Deputy Manager - Operations. This role deals with the operational side of the business and makes sure it runs efficiently. Michelle will now have to take care of a number of other duties including overseeing the Country Club and ensuring employees stay motivated and work as a team.
Commenting on her new role, Michelle said:
"I am so flattered to be given this great opportunity. This year will be my 20th anniversary of working at Ashdown Park Hotel, so it couldn't have come at a better time. When I started here in 1994, I was a casual head waitress in Conference & Banqueting, but I have worked my way up over the years. It really does show that hard work pays off !"
Edward Rodrigues, who started working at the hotel in 2012, has now been promoted from Assistant Manager to Senior Assistant Manager - Food & Beverage. His new role will involve many more responsibilities including supervising all food production and food operation activities, ensuring efficient management and the highest possible level of service, as well as creating and developing relationships with external suppliers.

"Receiving this promotion means a lot to me and I am honoured the hotel thinks I'm suitable for this challenging role. I am very much looking forward to the new job and all the new responsibilities that come with it."
