Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club takes part in The World's Largest Massage-athon

11am, Tuesday 19th September, this is the time that may appear in the record books for The World's Largest Massage-athon. Spas across the world took part in we11nesshour a campaign created by Spabreaks.com set up to encourage women to make health their priority and take an hour out of their day to focus on themselves.

Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club welcomed Head Coach from The School of Love, Katie Phillips to enjoy a relaxing massage. Katie who last week returned from Isla Mujeres (The Island of Women), Mexico, had already enjoyed over 5 massages as part of a health retreat but was looking forward to her next massage at Ashdown.

Katie enjoyed a pre-blended aromatherapy massage in one of our tranquil treatment rooms.  Sharlene Goode, Salon Manager at Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club said: “We are thrilled to welcome Katie to Ashdown and be supporting such a wonderful cause.”

Having created The School of Self Love over 10 years ago, Katie’s solo empire encourages people to find love & confidence from within. From a sports/corporate background, Katie felt a draw to becoming a life coach explaining that she felt “had a responsibility to show people how to love themselves and that self love & confidence is something that should be taught in schools, if we choose modules, why can’t this be one?”

It is this philosophy which inspired her to take part in the we11nesshour campaign, “to be a part of something that is promoting women’s wellness across the world and telling people to take time out for themselves is truly something I am all over.”

All funds raised will be given to Willow, a charity that provides Special Days for very ill young adults.
