‘One of my most memorable weddings of recent times had a very glamorous, cinematic feel. The ceremony (held in our John Hayward Room) had an ‘Oscars’ theme – there were golden Oscar statues at the entrance, fire lights either side of the doors and clips from classic films played via a projector on a loop. It was like Hollywood had come to East Sussex!
For the Wedding Breakfast and evening celebrations our stunning converted chapel, the Harry Clarke Suite, became a tropical paradise. The table centrepieces were made up mostly of birds of paradise and gerberas were put into the bow sash on each chair cover. The Wedding Cake also kept with the tropical theme, with the Bride and Groom sitting on deckchairs on a beach. It really was a day to remember.’
